In this week’s Tech Tuesday for WCJB TV20, UF Innovate’s Melanie Morón interviews Tyler Loftus, trauma surgeon in the UF Department of Surgery, who is researching AI-powered technology to improve patient care and increase efficiency in ICU settings. Recipient of an Invention of the Year award at #StandingInnOvation 2023, Loftus’ hope is that the technology will help doctors make better decisions for patients and alleviate pressure on vital hospital resources.
