Are you looking for mentorship or would you like to bring innovation and commercialization insights into your college, department, classroom, or event? UF Innovate I Pathways partners with the university community in various ways to support faculty, staff, postdocs and students with a goal to expand the culture of commercialization and accelerate the translation of research into real-world impact.
UF innovators can submit commercialization-related questions and seek advice from our mentors to advance ideas. Our mentors and have experience as technology commercialization professionals, industry experts, entrepreneurs and investors and are passionate about supporting academic innovators.

Schedule a 30–60-minute in person or virtual session designed for classes, departmental seminars, or college research symposiums and meetings. We cover a variety of topics including, intellectual property protection for your invention or creative work, ownership and transfer of intellectual property rights, introduction to NSF I Corps, technology translation and commercialization basics, startup formation and funding pathways, pitching your technology to investors and more.
Do you have a specific topic in mind, or would you like a speaker from industry? We’ll collaborate with you to develop a tailored session that fits your audience and objectives, for faculty meetings, lab meetings, courses and workshops, postdoc and student groups or college and department events.
We collaborate with faculty to develop courses to incorporate innovation and commercialization education in the classroom. Connect with us to integrate NSF I-Corps entrepreneurial training, intellectual property, or other technology translation and, commercialization education into your classroom activities
Interested in hosting an event related to innovation and entrepreneurship? Invite us to partner with you. We can bring a speaker, collaborate on a pitch event or develop an experiential learning program to advance innovations and foster industry relevant skills. You can also request UF Innovate, to table at research days, welcome events, new faculty orientations, or campus fairs. We’ll bring materials, swag, and team members to share resources and answer questions.
Every year, UF Innovate I Pathways collaborates with all the colleges for our annual InnOvation Showcase. This program which is part of our annual Standing InnOvation event is an opportunity for all the colleges to share the potential of the innovations coming out of your college to change the world. It is also a forum for your innovators to reach varied and new audiences and an opportunity for us to celebrate their work. We will reach out to the colleges in the fall to prepare for this event, so start thinking about which innovators can represent your college and stay tuned!
We collaborate to develop joint grant proposals to foster innovation, translation, commercialization and economic development so that it can enhance education, increase industry relevant skill building as well as to support the advancement of new innovations to market.
